Hotel Indigo Naperville Riverwalk by IHG

We had such a great stay at Hotel Indigo! The room was super clean, the staff was friendly, and the location is perfect, right by tons of shops and restaurants. It was so nice being able to walk everywhere. Would definitely stay here again!

An Exceptional Home Away From Home During one of the most emotional seasons of our lives — when our mom moved into a nursing home — Hotel Indigo Naperville became a true safe haven and a comforting home away from home. The entire staff is simply outstanding. From the front desk to the restaurant and bar, to maintenance and housekeeping, everyone has been overwhelmingly welcoming and consistently provides top-notch service. There are honestly too many wonderful people to name, but our heartfelt thanks go to James, Alondra, Lauren, Edwin, Michael, Ashley, Sherri, Taylor, Colleen, Tammy, Debbie, and so many others who made us feel genuinely cared for every single stay. The rooms are spotless, beautifully maintained, and the beds and bedding are incredibly comfortable — exactly what you hope for when you truly need rest and peace of mind. As part of the IHG family, we reached Platinum status very quickly, which has been such a value. We’ve enjoyed complimentary upgrades when available, a delicious daily breakfast (a $50 value), and points that can be used for free nights at IHG properties. We even used our points for a long weekend stay at The Journeyman Hotel in Milwaukee, which was wonderful as well. Additional perks like the Riverwalk Amenity Card — offering discounts and complimentary items at many excellent local restaurants and shops — are a thoughtful bonus. Lastly, the downtown Naperville location is second to none. Everything is within walking distance, and the historic Riverwalk is pure joy to walk along — especially in the fall. Hotel Indigo Naperville isn’t just a hotel. It’s a place of warmth, care, and consistency — and for us, it will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

The property appears well managed and maintained. Common areas were clean and staff remained attentive to guest needs. I noticed consistent monitoring of facilities.

I stay at this hotel every month… for one week… I have choices but choose this hotel always! Sometimes cheaper options…savings no worth it at other places… still choose Indigo Naperville as it is highest quality and best all around. The executive management, front desk staff, bar/breakfast staff are all excellent and could not be any better!!! BTW the location, the parking, the discount on restaurants nearby (all walking distance) are additional benefits!

I intentionally logged on to post this review. Lauren at the front desk excels at customer relations, which is rare to see in hotels these days. She helped me correct my booking mistake all to my advantage and comfort (rather than telling the customer to "make do," as most other hotels would advise). Let me add that the view over the Riverwalk is very lovely, if you can score one of these options, and that the rooms are perfectly cleaned and very modern. Not a single "dated" fixture in this place. Dozens upon dozens of dining options nearby. Worth the stay, and I'd say worth the expense too, but I don't find it very costly for what you get. Wonderful hotel, great employees.

The Indigo hotel is definitely my go to place when I’m here in Naperville. From their front desk staff to the ladies in the restaurant it’s a win-win place for me. I enjoy the fact that they’re very welcoming when you first check in no matter what time it is. The lounge/bar area is warm and inviting and great for a nightcap. The morning breakfast served by Taylor and Sheri are a great start for my day. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience in Naperville.

Level of service completely exceeded my expectations - will never stay anywhere else when in the area for business. Beautiful and very clean room, kind and amazing staff, and easy parking made my stay at Hotel Indigo Naperville a great one. The only issue—and an important one—was that the bed was unfortunately very broken down from use and uncomfortable. What truly set this hotel apart was how they handled the feedback. The hotel proactively texted me after check-in and again the next day to ensure everything was going well. I shared that the room was lovely but the bed was not comfortable, with no expectation of anything in return—just courtesy feedback for future guests. The response was unbelievable. Lauren immediately involved James Pontrelli, who handled the situation with exceptional care and professionalism. He offered points (which was unnecessary but appreciated) and then offered to come to my room with his engineer to assist with the issue. When I returned late from business meetings, James and his engineer immediately came to my room and swapped out the mattress. This level of service completely exceeded my expectations. They’ve completely won my loyalty with the above and beyond care and professionalism that they expressed. As someone who travels frequently for work, I’ll be pivoting my hotel stays to IHG Hotels & Resorts whenever possible. Thank you for the outstanding service.

We have been visiting this Hotel Indigo since they opened nine years ago. It is in the best location for visiting Naperville as it is downtown near restaurants and is directly adjacent to the Riverwalk. We enjoy parking our car in the attached garage and then just spending a couple days walking around the downtown eating and shopping. The hotel staff are consistently professional and many have been with the hotel for a number of years. The bathrooms in the rooms are beautiful and spacious. We appreciate the comfy beds and the phenomenal pillows. We are grateful to have the Indigo as our home away from home when we visit Naperville.
